The MEP presents the first major exhibition devoted to French photographer Camille Vivier. For twenty-five years, her practice has been situated between fashion commissions for leading magazines and personal artistic research focused on the body and still life. The exhibition reveals a body of work that intertwines sensuality, mystery, and poetry, questioning the relationship between the human body and artefacts.
Polaroids acts like an initimate extension of the exhibition featuring more than 100 polaroids from her personal archive.
Camille Vivier is a French photographer whose practice operates at the intersection of fashion, contemporary art, and performance. Her work is characterized by carefully staged compositions, heightened chromatic palettes, and an ongoing investigation of the body, identity, and constructed subjectivities.
Drawing on references from cinema, painting, and theatrical scenography, Vivier’s images negotiate the boundaries between representation and fiction. Her practice spans editorial, commercial, and artistic contexts, maintaining a consistent conceptual and formal rigor.
